Mission Statement

So I was watching C-Span this weekend, as I am oft to do during many a morning wake-up ritual, and it was showing a conference on journalism. During the program, one of them professional “journalists”, who seemed extra smart-like, proclaimed that the problem with many of the bloggers in the blogosphere was that they did not have a mission statement.

Apparently this is a problem because it does not afford readers the proper perspective on the source of whatever information they are receiving. As if having “All the News That’s Fit to Print” on the front page of the New York Times gives you perspective. How do I know they’re trustworthy? Well, because they told me they were. Great.

So, because it is so vitally important, here is my mission statement: To write stuff and you can read it or not and think it’s stupid or not and post comments (or not). Oh yeah…and to take over the world. And that’s all I need. That and my Thermos.
